Press Release:

On January 13, 2015, Anchor Bay Entertainment will release Bad Turn Worse, a fresh example of Texas pulp noir at its grittiest. An official selection of the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and the Audience Award winner at AFI Fest 2013, Bad Turn Worse will be available for an SRP of $22.98. Pre-book is December 10, 2014.

After a weekend of partying with stolen money, three Texas teens (Jeremy Allen White (“Shameless”, Movie 43), Logan Huffman (“V”), and Mackenzie Davis (That Awkward Moment) find themselves indebted to a sociopathic criminal named Giff (“Supernatural’s” Mark Pellegrino in a breakout performance). To pay their debt, Giff forces the teens to steal from his boss, a money-laundering gangster named Big Red. But things go from bad to worse when betrayal, distrust, and corruption complicate an already dangerous plan.

Now the young friends are on the run as they try to escape both their dead-end lives and the reach of the local criminal syndicate. Affection and trust will be questioned as their tense journey threatens to tear their friendship apart.

Television and movie veterans William Devane (Marathon Man, “24”) and Jon Gries (“The Bridge,” Taken, Taken 2) join this talented cast of newcomers in a story of youthful guile and guilt. It’s a volatile combination, guaranteed to make Bad Turn Worse!
