Open Road Films announced today that the critically acclaimed film "Dope" will be returning to theaters this Friday. The film was an official selection at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival (Director's Forenight). It's executive produced by Forest Whitaker, Pharrell Williams and Sean Combs and stars Shameik Moore, Tony Revolori, Kiersey Clemons, Kimberly Elise, Zoë Kravitz and A$AP Rocky.
"Dope" returns into theater September 4th.

Plot Synopsis:
A critical hit and audience favorite out of the Sundance Film Festival, in DOPE, Malcolm (Shameik Moore) is carefully surviving life in a tough neighborhood in Los Angeles while juggling college applications, academic interviews, and the SAT. A chance invitation to an underground party leads him into an adventure that could allow him to go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself.
