Official Stills for the Upcoming Comedy "Amateur Night"

Cinedigm recently send us over stills for their upcoming release of the comedy "Amateur Night". The upcoming film stars Jason Biggs (American Pie), Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), Janet Montgomery (Salem) and Bria Murphy (America's Next Top Model).

"Amateur Night" hits NY and LA on August 5th and theaters in limited release and VOD on August 12th.

Plot Synopsis:

Cinedigm is pleased to announce the theatrical release dates for their new comedy, AMATEUR NIGHT, starring Jason Biggs (American Pie), Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), Janet Montgomery (Salem) and Bria Murphy (America's Next Top Model) in her first break-out comedy role. The film is slated to open on August 5th in New York and Los Angeles, then expanding on August 12th digitally, on demand and in 8 other select markets.

The film centers on Guy (Biggs: American Pie; Orange Is the New Black), an out-of-work and down-on-his-luck expectant father desperate to find a job to support his growing family. At the urging of his wife (Mollen: Crazy Stupid Love; Extracted), he answers a Craigslist ad to be a driver. He's in for more than he bargained for when he learns he'll be the driver for three charismatic call girls (Tisdale: High School Musical; Montgomery: Black Swan; Salem; and Murphy: America's Next Top Model; The Game) as they make their evening rounds, which turn out to be anything but typical. Also starring in this fish-out-of-water comedy is veteran actor Steven Weber (Wings; iZombie), Reno 911! alumnus Cedric Yarbrough (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Comedy Bang! Bang!, The Goldbergs) and Adrian Voo (Little Bitches).

With their true-life story inspiring the movie (and the casting: Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen are also married in "real life"), husband/wife team Joe Syracuse and Lisa Addario (Surf's Up; the Billy Crystal-Bette Midler comedy Parental Guidance) wrote and directed the film. While trying to catch their big Hollywood break as writers, Syracuse had a lucrative - and sometimes dangerous - job driving call girls around Los Angeles while Addario was pregnant with their first child.

The film was produced by Diego Del Rio Toca, Jorge Garcia Castro, Shana Eddy-Grouf and Mary Pat Bentel; executive producers are Samuel Goldberg, Michael Kessel, Jackie Levine, Meyer Orbach, Costa Theo, and Tony Parker.
