Official Stills for John Turturro's Latest Film "Fading Gigolo"

Millennium Entertainment recently released stills for the upcoming John Turturro film "Fading Gigolo". Turtrruo directs and stars in the film along with Woody Alien, Sharon Stone, Sofia Vergara, Vanessa Paradis and Liev Schreiber. "Fading Gigolo" hits theaters in limited release on 4/18.

Plot Synopsis:

Fioravante (John Turturro), at his friend Murray’s (Woody Allen) suggestion, enters into the world’s oldest profession, and ends up finding something he didn’t know he was looking for.

The seed of this scheme is planted when Murray’s beautiful dermatologist Dr. Parker (Sharon Stone) mentions she’s looking for a man to participate in a ménage à trois with her and her equally gorgeous friend Selima (Sofia Vergara). Contending with the recent closure of his bookshop, Murray recognizes the financial potential of this proposal and sets about convincing Fioravante to consummate the deal. While Fioravante is at first hesitant at the prospect of being Murray’s “ho,” he also needs the cash and comes to realize that there are worse ways to make a living than making two attention starved women happy. A partnership is born and Fioravante is soon on his way to Dr. Parker’s bedroom for a pre-ménage tryout.

Meanwhile Murray has come across an unusual second client for Fioravante: Avigal (Vanessa Paradis), the widow of a revered Chasidic Rabbi, whom she married when she was very young. Twenty years later, Avigal now finds herself with six children, memories of a life lived only within the cloistered world of the Chasidic community, and a desperate yearning to experience something new. When Murray proposes that she visit Fioravante, she grasps this opportunity, curious as to where it might lead her. Fioravante’s tender touch on her back awakens something inside her Avigal has never
felt before, as well as stirring up an unexpected reaction in Fioravante.

Meanwhile, Avigal’s every move is tracked by Dovi (Liev Schreiber), a Chasidic man who has pined for her since boyhood. Constricted both by religion and insecurity, his passion takes the form of watchfulness over Avigal and her children. Seeing Avigal with Fioravante arouses Dovi’s suspicion, and before long, his jealousy.

As Fioravante makes his rounds through the bedrooms of Dr. Parker and Selima, as well as his more chaste meetings with Avigal, Murray discovers it’s not so easy to be a pimp and finds out that the secular and the Orthodox must come to a head sooner or later.

Political Thriller "Persecuted" Makes its Way to Theaters

One Media LLC recently released information that Millennium Entertainment will handle the release of the political thriller "Persecuted". The upcoming film stars James Remar (X-Men: First Class, Dexter) Bruce Davison (X-Men, Lost), Dean Stockwell and Fred Thompson. "Persecuted" hits theaters in limited release on 7/18.

Press Release:

One Media LLC announces Millennium Entertainment will release the political thriller PERSECUTED nationally on July 18, 2014.

Advance screening events have already begun a word of mouth buzz for the film which been called a "timely thriller" by FOX News and a "House of Cards for the religious set" by Politico. The Hollywood Reporter noted the film's "ripped from the headlines" plot and pairs a veteran of Washington and Hollywood, actor and former presidential candidate Fred Thompson with an all-star cast of Hollywood's finest, including Dean Stockwell, James Remar and Bruce Davison.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Millennium Entertainment to distribute Persecuted to a wide audience," said writer, director and producer Daniel Lusko. "We're seeing this film create a stir months ahead of release which portends for a great opening."

PERSECUTED tells the story of a modern-day evangelist named John Luther, played by SAG Award-nominated and Saturn Award winning actor James Remar (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, "Dexter", DJANGO: UNCHAINED, WHAT LIES BENEATH, RED). Luther is the last hold out for a national endorsement to make sweeping reform in freedom of speech that would compel religious leaders to provide equal time to those of other faiths as a U.S. Senator, portrayed by Oscar-nominated actor Bruce Davison (X-MEN, "Lost", "Castle"), and his political allies create a sinister plan of denial and scandal to frame John Luther for murder. Suddenly his once normal life is turned upside down as he becomes a fugitive vowing to expose those responsible. It is a mission that brings him face-to-face with the coming storm of persecution that will threaten the moral ethics and freedoms of America.

Producing with Lusko is Oscar-winning producer Gray Frederickson (THE GODFATHER, APOCALYPSE NOW), along with Line Producer Brent Morris (MONSTER, FRANK, and UNKNOWN.)

PERSECUTED cast includes Dean Stockwell (AIR FORCE ONE, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, STAR TREK), Fred Thompson ("Law & Order", DIE HARD 2, HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER), Brad Stine (recognized as "God's Comic" by The New Yorker, social commentator on Fox & Friends, MARRIAGE RETREAT) Raoul Trujillo (APOCOLYPTO, COWBOYS AND ALIENS, THE NEW WORLD), Natalie Grant (five-time Dove Award-winning singer and songwriter) and Gretchen Carlson (Fox News Channel). The film is a SAG-AFTRA production of an original political drama by Lusko.

The film wrapped principle photography on August 6, 2013 and was shot in and around the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.
