Post Apocalyptic Thriller "The Tribe" Blast on to VOD

Terror Films recently sent us over the official poster, first clip and trailer for their latest release "The Tribe". The film stars Jessica Rothe (Mary + Jane, La La Land), Anne Winters (Tyrant) and Michael Nardell (The Collection, Revenge).

The Tribe hits VOD on Feburary 10th.

Last week Terror Films announced they would be releasing The Tribe across multiple digital platforms this Friday, February 10th. With only 2 days left for the film’s U.S. debut, the genre distributor has released the official poster, trailer and another exclusive clip for fans titled, “Sisters Divided!”

The film will be available on several VOD platforms. Platforms hosting the release include: iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play/YouTube, Vudu, Xbox Live, Sony PlayStation, Vimeo on Demand, I Bleed Indie and 3 Roku channels.

(Free Flix Tonight, 24 Hour Movie Channel, Free Grindhouse Flix Tonight).

The company will work on expanding the release in the coming months on platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Cable VOD and DVD. Those dates will be announced once they have secured placement.

The film centers on a family of three young sisters played by Jessica Rothe (Mary + Jane, La La Land), Anne Winters (Tyrant), and Chloe Beth Jones. They live out their days after a pandemic has consumed most of the known world. One day a stranger, played by Michael Nardelli (The Collection, Revenge) suddenly shows up and their world changes in ways they never could have imagined.

Drafthouse Films Acquires North American Rights to "The Tribe"

Drafthouse Films recently announced that they've picked up the North American rights to the 2014 Cannes' International Critics' Week award winner "The Tribe". The film dominated the Cannes' Independent Critics' Week awards, winning the Nespresso Grand Prize, the France 4 Visionary Award and the Gan Foundation Support for Distribution grant. "The Tribe is slated for release in 2015.

Drafthouse Films has acquired North American distribution rights to the 2014 Cannes' International Critics' Week award winner The Tribe. Blowing away critics and audiences alike, the radically ambitious film has been called "an unprecedented cinematic accomplishment" by Indiewire, while The Guardian heralds it "the great discovery of this year's festival."

Set at a Ukrainian boarding school for the deaf, the film's narrative unfolds purely through sign language without a need for employing subtitles or voiceover, resulting in a unique, never-before-seen cinematic experience that engages the audience on a new level. Directed by Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy and produced by Valentyn Vasyanovych and Iya Myslytska from Garmata Film Production, The Tribe's astonishingly intimate and raw depiction of disenchanted youth features a cast comprised entirely of non-professional, deaf actors including leads Grigory Fesenko as Sergey and Yana Novikova as Anna.
