Bob Weir Documentary "The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir" to Make It's Premieres on Netflix


Netflix recently announced that their original documentary focusing on Bob Weir and The Grateful Dead, "The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir" will be making its premiere on the pay VOD service. The film won the Audience Award at the 2014 San Francisco International Film Festival.

Netflix will launch the documentary, The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir, exclusively on the world's leading Internet TV network on Friday, May 22nd. The Netflix original documentary, winner of the 2014 Audience Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival, provides a revelatory look at Bob Weir and the Grateful Dead, and will be available to stream in all Netflix territories.

From director Mike Fleiss (The Bachelor, Hostel), producer Marc Weingarten (God Bless Ozzy Osbourne) and executive producers Martin Hilton (The Bachelor) and Justin Kreutzmann (In the Attic with Pete Townshend & Friends), The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir made its world debut at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the 2014 San Francisco International Film Festival. The film chronicles Weir's journey from Palo Alto youth to global success as a member of one of the world's most influential and popular bands. With a special emphasis on his brotherhood with Jerry Garcia and ample musical performances and archival footage, The Other One features interviews with bandmates, colleagues, fans, family and Bob Weir himself.
